A transit  It is an astronomical event that happens when a star passes directly between two others, usually between planets that revolve around its star or satellites that make it around a planet. 






The June 5, 2012 the planet Venus transited in front of the Sun, being able to be observed from many places on Earth, and whose spectacle was memorable to the sight of millions of people who could witness a phenomenon that will not happen again until the year 2117.






A transit of Venus is an event similar to a solar eclipse caused by the Moon, but the distance and the apparent size of Venus make that it can only be seen as a small black dot that crosses the visible face of the Sun for a time of a few hours.
