Report: Former Little League World Series star Mo'ne Davis to attend Hampton University
Several Team USA Olympians surprised the Agoura High School baseball and softball teams with much-needed gifts.

Four years after making history by becoming the first girl to win and pitch a shutout in a Little League World Series game, Mo'ne Davis is ready to take her athletic talents to college.
Davis, now 17, has decided to attend Hampton University in the fall, her parents told the Philadelphia Tribune.
It's been quite a whirlwind since Davis burst onto the national scene with her 70 mph fastball, leading the team from South Philadelphia to the storied tournament in Williamsport, Pa.
She was featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated, made an appearance at the celebrity NBA All-Star game, won an ESPY award as Best Breakthrough Athlete, played on a baseball barnstorming tour and even played basketball with the Harlem Globetrotters.
In 2017, she was still playing baseball, participating in the Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) World Series in Cincinnati. Even then, her fame has endured.
“It was crazy, but it’s calmed down,” she told the Cincinnati Enquirer. “At tournaments, kids still come up to me and get their picture taken.”
A three-sport star in high school at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy (soccer, basketball, softball), Davis will play softball at Hampton.
