Witness statement
The witness presented the following original report:
"I went to the door of my patio to let my cat in when I looked west and saw what I first thought was a satellite or a big bright star." As I watched, it occurred to me that if it was a satellite, why? what is still, so I just guessed that it was a star but it was too bright? Then, while I thought that this started moving towards the SW, I was suddenly scared a bit, so I hurried to take my mobile phone again and I followed the bright light, some of the movements are the ones that move the phone to leave it at rest, since it was quite fast, there was also a plane in the distance that came in the south, this object did not make noise and had no flashing lights, I was wondering if it was the space station but it was too low for that and I do not know If it had passed through our house, then it went east 85'0 in a cloud? thank you for calling me back, when I came out the patio door, I first saw the light of the object on the W side of my door to SW.
What a saw was a very bright big light could not say that it had a shape that was simply very bright. It was very clear with many stars, when at first I thought it was a star that was stationary, but after a few seconds it started to move towards the east, so I followed the bright object and entered what was a cloud. let's say that maybe to the northeast, I stopped filming, but it did not come out and the cloud finally left. I must say that I was very surprised and disappointed that it did not reappear. My husband was working away and I was just in the house, I do not know if anyone else in our area saw anything. Forget about describing the cloud. It was a creamy white almond color. I would have said it was almost like an oval shape or a bit like a pear shape, you could not see in the video because my camera could not see because of the darkness that the same image had. stars that were also out, I've been away almost the whole afternoon since I tried to see if it reappeared. yes, I had to follow the bright object from the west when I saw it for the first time, I was not aware of anything like dust or debris, I have seen the video again and I am sure that the hedge in the garden is swinging, if you look while I follow the light with my phone, it is SE the object disappears because it is a very tall hedge And then we see it from new before it enters the cloud. I will try to identify what the witnesses observed based on the following facts, along with the video and the witness's statement.
I have created 2 images based on the witness's testimony, (created with the multiple email responses mentioned above) that lead to the "start" of the video sequence recorded by the witness. Note that the video does not contain stars in contrast to the images.
Stellarium was used for the night sky around the Chesterfield area on 07/29/2018 at 11:00 PM
There were satellite trajectories in the field of vision of the witness, however, it is difficult to confirm if they were visible to the naked eye at that time.
I checked the metadata in the video file and noticed that the creation date was 09/20/2018 at 18:33 and not on 07/29/2018 at 11:00 PM
The time at the time of the sighting comes from Time and date 07/29/2018 11:00 PM
Google maps revealed 3 airports nearby.
conclusion
According to the description and video of the witness, without further sufficient evidence, I can not reach a solid conclusion. Looking at the video of the witness it is difficult to determine the movement of the light and the movement caused by the witness. Therefore, I speculate that this is very likely a commercial aircraft, however, it can not determine.
