The next GM electric vehicle is a bicycle.
General Motors has promised to have 20 electric vehicles on sale by 2023, but it looks like there will actually be 22.
The automaker has announced plans to introduce a pair of electric bicycles next year.
One has a fixed frame, while the other is foldable. GM has not said whether they are purely pedal-assisted or accelerating, but they are "connected" and developed with the help of "great minds of the bicycle industry."
As for the brand with which they will be sold, that depends on you. GM is organizing a contest to create a new brand for its two-wheelers.
First prize in the eBikeBrandChallenge is $ 10,000, while nine finalists will receive $ 1,000 each.
If any of those amounts will be enough to buy one of the bicycles, it probably will not be known until the winning name is announced on January 31.
