Although they would remain unreported for twelve years, The Allagash 1976 alien abduction of four young people., including the twin brothers, while on a night fishing trip near their camp is one of the most remarkable in history. The four witnesses, through the hypnotic regression, would remember the same event. And, as we will see, one of the four would seem to continue to experience visitation events in the years after that strange night on the Allagash Canal in Maine.
It is a case that is well known in the UFO community, and one that continues to fascinate. Perhaps not least, because for the most part, it seems to be one that is extremely credible. It would also be subject to one of the longest and most detailed UFO investigations in recent history. And one that would not only provide an explanation of the events of that night in 1976, but also unravel other equally strange events that the two brothers experienced throughout their lives. Lifetime events that can be found contained in many other kidnapping accounts around the world.
A feeling of "Being watched" In the lake
The identical twin brothers, Jack and Jim Weiner, along with their art partners, Charlie Foltz and Chuck Rak, packed their vehicle with their belongings, and on the 20th.th In August of 1976, it would leave Boston Massachusetts on the way to the Allagash River in northern Maine. They planned to go canoeing along the river, camping on the river bank and doing a lot of fishing. They would park their vehicle at a stopping point, allowing an airplane to take them to Lake Telos, which is located on the Allagash Canal.
The first six days were almost as planned. On the afternoon of the seventh day, however, the 26thth August, when they established a camp on the shores of Lake Eagle, that would change. They had decided to spend the first hours of the night fishing. This particular night was completely dark on the water, so the four students made a big fire near their camp to use it as a beacon to find their way back.
Not long after settling into a position on the lake and beginning his attempts to catch a trout or two, Chuck began to have the strange feeling that someone was watching them. Later, he would tell the MUFON investigators that, as he turned around to scan his surroundings, he would feel and see a "large bright sphere of colored light that remained motionless and soundless about 200 to 300 feet above the southeast edge of the creek".
He immediately caught the attention of his fellow students, who turned to see the bright object that came from behind the trees.
The beam of light that is fast approaching
Everyone would later recall how the object had a "gyroscopic movement" on its surface. It seemed that pure energy flowed over the surface of the object, giving it a "rolling boil" look. It would also serve to separate the sphere into four different areas of color that would melt together with a strong liquid effect.
While the other three students watched in amazement, Charlie quickly took the flashlight and began to "flash and blink" the light towards the object, as in the Morse Code. As soon as he did, the ascent of the object stopped suddenly. Then, he began to move towards the canoe and the four students. In doing so, a "tube-shaped beam" emerged from the bottom of the ship that extended to the water below. He continued towards the canoe.
Now, beyond panic, each of the students frantically tried to reach the other side of the lake and the camp. However, in seconds, the beam of light was on them, the object on them. Everything was bright and confusing.
The next thing Charlie knew, was crawling from the water and heading towards the camp area. Jack and Jim were already there. Each of them was looking back at the strange object, which now seemed to be moving away from them. Chuck, meanwhile, had remained in the canoe, almost in a trance, contemplating the strange bright sphere. Eventually, as the others watched the sphere recede, Chuck suddenly appeared in his senses. He would leave the canoe and join the others on the riverbank.
Twenty minutes was actually more than two hours!
From the perspective of the twins, they quickly realized that they would not be able to overcome what was this strange and sudden threatening object. However, as the object closed, like Charlie, his memories "leapt forward" in some way. Jack would remember: "The next thing I knew, we were on the shore." From there, they could see that the object was about twenty or thirty feet above the surface of the water. The beam is still shining down. Jack would estimate that he remained "completely silent" for about five minutes.
Then, the ray would point suddenly upwards, the object would begin to ascend once more when doing it. After an initial steady increase, the object "shot to the stars and disappeared in just one second."
Jim would add: "We all seemed to be in shock, we were standing there without being able to move or speak."
After Chuck joined the other three on the shore, the group would return to the camp. To their surprise, and only to further increase the confusion, they discovered that their bonfire, which burned only a few minutes before, was now a red glow dull of embers. Before they had embarked in the canoe, the group had placed several large logs in the fire "to burn for a good two or three hours." Originally they thought they had been in the water for no more than twenty minutes or so. However, in light of the state of the fire, he realized that the amount of time was at least two hours.
This window of lost time would weigh privately in each of the minds of the young people for the next twelve years, until a chance encounter would reunite the group to discover the events of that summer night in 1976.
Head injuries reveal nightmarish memories
As the seventies passed the baton of time to the eighties, the four young men, while still friends, forgot the incident and continued with their respective lives. Jim, however, would suffer a head injury several years later. One of the consequences of this injury was tempero-limbic epilepsy.
During his regular treatment for this condition, recurring nightmares would hit Jim. In them, he and his fellow three art students from their 1976 camping trip were all in a "strange place". Also, and for reasons he did not know, they were all naked. Even strangers, "strange humanoids with insect eyes" were all around him.
Perhaps the strangest and most chilling consequence of the head injury and the tempero-limbic epilepsy that he caused was the moment when he woke up at night and found creatures around his bed. Sometimes they "levitated" him upwards, although he himself was paralyzed during the meetings.
Fascinated, his doctor would ask him if he was ever involved in any "unusual activity". That's when Jim revealed the episode on Eagle Lake in Allagash. And the lost time that none of the group could still remember. Through regular interaction among medical specialists, Jim's doctor was relatively familiar with UFO sightings and, more specifically, with allegations of extraterrestrial abduction that sometimes arose as a result of them. With that in mind, when he realized that the UFO researcher and researcher, Ray Fowler, was going to give a lecture on the subject in May 1988, he would be able to convince Jim and the rest of the group to attend. After the talk, Jim would approach Fowler and tell him about his meeting. And of the lost time they wanted to recover from their own minds.
The beginning of the regression
The official investigation carried out by Fowler together with MUFON researcher David Webb and MUFON consultant and hypnotist Tony Constantino, would begin in January 1989. It was one of the most detailed in recent history and would take more than two years to complete. complete. The creatures would examine their eyes and their mouths with a "stick the size of a pencil". They examined more closely the flexibility of their arms and legs before instructing each of them, in turn, on a nearby table. Numerous strange devices and instruments scanned in their bodies during this procedure. It seems that the creatures will collect several samples, including skin, saliva, blood and sperm.

Then, came the instructions to get dressed and enter another room. They would line up in front of a "round portal" on one of the walls. One by one, they would enter this portal. In doing so, they would "float" toward the canoe in the water below. In addition to the "strange feeling" that each one felt in their bodies, each one would also notice how the light seemed to "keep the canoe firm" while each of them fell on it. What is even stranger, whether by coincidence or not, each one would be in the same positions as when the UFO arrived.
At this point, they reached their senses, and rushed to the water's edge, turning in time to see the ship move away in the distance. The detail about the portal is extremely interesting. Several other reports of extraterrestrial abduction mention entering a portal of this type and return to the point of kidnapping.
However, what most worried the researchers in the case of Allagash was the emerging evidence from the regression sessions that Jack and Jim had not only had several "visits" since the incident in 1976, but both had experiences that were go back to early childhood. Each of them would describe, in detail and comparing the story of the other, strange creatures that woke them up in their rooms when they were young children. Then they would go with these creatures aboard a ship that waited discreetly over their house.
In fact, as recently (as) as in May 1988, Jack and his wife, Mary, experienced a kidnapping incident from their home in a remote and quiet part of Townshend, Vermont.
May 1988 - "ThereSomething in the house!"
Late afternoon of the 20th In May of 1988, Jack woke up to hear his dog scratching at the door below. I would get out of bed toward the kitchen door. When he arrived, however, the room was radiant in a bright blue wash that entered the glass from outside. He opened the door, and right before him, floating in a field in front of his house, was a blue object that shone brightly. On the night in question, Jim had quickly brought his dog inside and had returned to bed. However, now, under hypnosis, the true events of that night would come to light.
Originally, after opening the door, Jack started walking towards the blue light. However, he later changed his mind, going back inside. However, he also knew that the light was approaching him and was approaching all the time. He closed the door, now frightened. In his regression tape, he expresses his thoughts as "I do not want to deal with this now, why are you here now?
I would go back to your bed. Terror ran through him so fast that he pulled the blankets over their heads and Mary's. I would say in the regression: "I know there's something in the house, I know they're here."
Then, the sheets began to move from the top of his head. When they came down completely, standing on the bed there are several creatures with "big eyes and a big head". When he turned his head to look at Mary, he could see another creature approaching her.
Physical evidence left behind
As they did on the ship more than a decade earlier, these creatures would assert a mind control over the couple. Both he and Mary were instructed to walk towards the light that entered the room. An order that they were unable to resist. They would go out, where a "huge glowing object the size of a house" floated over the patio, a long column of light that extended down from its bottom. The color would change several times, changing from white, yellow and orange, before returning to the bright white.
They would walk directly into the light and then be instantly transferred to the upper ship. Once on board, their hosts would separate them. Then, examinations of an extremely similar nature to those of Allagash were carried out. When they were completed, they were "floated" in a practical way to the house, through the door and to their bedroom. Once there, despite the great confusion in their minds, they simply went to bed and went to sleep.
This particular incident would result in the discovery of strange burn marks on the underside of Jack's feet, as well as a "biopsy on the ankle" mark. Again, whether by coincidence or not, this brand was directly above the remaining mark of an operation that Jack had several years earlier. This was to eliminate a sudden bulge that appeared out of nowhere. What is more interesting here is the development after the removal of the package. They would inform Jack that they did not know what it was and that they were investigating more thoroughly. When the MUFON investigators tried to trace the records of this operation, they were with the "military pathologists". The military did not give more information despite repeated requests for access to medical procedure files.

Intriguing perspective on alien abduction
While there are obvious and habitual skeptics in the incident, investigations at that time would suggest that none of the witnesses were inclined or likely to lie. Not only that, but the general "moral character" of each of the groups was "extraordinary". And, in the best of cases, the chances of them inventing a deception of this kind were unlikely.
Another interesting discovery of the initial research, particularly in reference to Jim and Jack and their experiences with UFO activity that dates back to their childhood, was the number of "paranormal experiences" that each of them remembers having had. Paranormal encounters that were much more likely to be extraterrestrial.
Maybe we should take into account several stories from around 2015. If it's true, Chuck Rak would say that the UFO sighting was real. However, he had doubts about the authenticity of his apparent memories of a kidnapping. What is interesting here, are not so much the affirmations themselves. But that all the references (in addition to the chat forums) seem to be eliminated. Could this be an attempt to discredit the case? Or could Rak's claims be legitimate enough? If so, why are they no longer there?
Perhaps an unintended, and often overlooked, aspect of this particular case was that each of the witnesses are all artists. Therefore, they would not only be able to remember and draw in a complex relative detail of the things they witnessed. But it would be very likely that his natural inclination to transmit such information was through this medium. In fact, much of the work of art that would emerge from the witnesses is of immense value to UFO researchers. While examining other cases, from the past, present and those that surely are coming in the future.
