Navajo Police meets the paranormal.

The police have always been a force that, ideally, seeks to protect us from the most infamous elements of the world in which we live. They are supposed to watch us and patrol our streets to eliminate criminal threats and maintain a sense of peace. In the process of doing so, the application of the law often finds the strange and the inexplicable, but they also find things for which their training and even common sense have not prepared them, things that are beyond the scope of our understanding that they hide in the world of the paranormal. . A place where such encounters have been seen is with the police patrolling the Navajo reservation of the southwestern United States, away from the public eye in a place where many of you will never think about it. This is a land of legends and mysteries, and it often seems that the police here witness first-hand some very strange things.

Perhaps one of the most interesting cases of the application of the law of reservations related to the paranormal is a whole department dedicated to such phenomena. The Navajo Reservation in Arizona had for a long time numerous reports of all kinds of strange events that went beyond the scope of what was being trained to enforce ordinary law, including ghosts, Bigfoot, UFOs, changing creatures of the native tradition known as Skinwalkers, and another variety of varied oddities. What is interesting is that, instead of mocking these reports or discarding them, the Navajo Reserve instead assigned a special branch of its department to investigate such marginal cases.

The team is called Navajo Nation Rangers, which consists of a group of specially trained federal officials who are generally in charge of a variety of tasks, such as managing national parks, archaeological sites and fishing and wildlife services. In this case, they expanded their operations to include the investigation of paranormal reports, and although these reports accounted for less than 1% of their total cases, the department took them very seriously. Some of the most illuminating information about these cases and the internal workings of the Navajo Rangers regarding the paranormal comes from a veteran of the Arizona law retired for 31 years from the Arizona Police Department, the National Park Service, the Department of Historic Preservation of Navajo and the Navajo Nation Rangers, Lieutenant John Dover and his veteran partner Stanley Milford, Jr., an 18-year veteran and sergeant of the Navajo Nation Rangers in Window Rock, Arizona. Milford has said about the type of cases they covered and the decision to continue with these reports:

Busy places and things that go bump in the night. The objects that appear in the air and fall to the ground, the objects that fly through the rooms, the ceramic vessels explode and then we get involved in UFO investigations. In many of these cases, people are frightened by what they have seen and that is really the conclusion of why we investigate these cases. Due to the fact that my boss has basically told us that we will investigate a case when someone comes forward asking for help and that is the end result. They are asking for help and they need someone to come and someone to listen to them, and that is what we do.

The cases come from people who are simply normal people who were very afraid, something unusual was happening to them. They did not know what was happening, they did not know if it was military, something supernatural, if it was witchcraft. They wanted answers and wanted to know that someone cared enough to find those answers for them. Maybe we do not believe it. Maybe we do not believe what you believe, but we will investigate it in a more meticulous and professional way. We will inform you and let the chips fall where they want.

Dover spent 10 years investigating the reserve's paranormal claims, a kind of real-life Fox Mulder, and along with Milford they found some particularly strange cases. Many of these have been strange stories that have been found to involve what seems to be UFOsa dn even its occupants. In one case, an old hermit who lived in the desolate thicket of the desert came forward to say that he had seen a UFO land nearby, which he then threw to various supernatural entities that inspected his home before boarding his ship and shooting at the vast sky of La desert night. The Rangers took a look at the site and found inexplicable circular holes near the hut where the man said the ship had landed.

There was also the case of a mother and daughter who saw a formation of bright blue, orange and white lights in the night sky over the uninhabited desert of the reserve near the city of Chinle in January 2012. Apparently, they observed the mysterious lights for several hours. Minutes before they vanished suddenly, leaving behind a sonic boom that apparently eliminated power throughout the city. Dover and Milford have seen some UFO phenomena, like a cigar-shaped ship they both witnessed, and Dover has claimed that a mysterious orb of light once followed him for 30 minutes. In fact, the Navajo Rangers have had so many UFO reports about the reserve that they have partnered with the UFO research organization, the Mutual OVNI Network (MUFON).

The couple also investigated the apparitions, often during which they themselves are direct witnesses of paranormal phenomena. In a supposedly tormented house, Dover explained that suddenly the coins began to fall from the roof to hit them like rain, even though there were no holes or ventilation holes through which they could have fallen. There was also a supposedly enchanted place in which they personally witnessed the levitation of objects through the air and the ceramic dishes exploding to send fragments everywhere for no apparent reason. Bigfoot's reports were also pursued, with Dover saying that a case that the researched had more than 30 eyewitnesses, and he would say it to CBS 5 News, "We came out with physical evidence. "Hair samples, footprints, stride distances, trunks that were removed from the swamp area and eliminated, normal people would not have been able to do that."

Other cases that they examined are a bit more difficult to classify. A strange story they described was a young woman driving home one night when she noticed that a mysterious, shiny sphere was moving in the darkness behind her, apparently following the vehicle. She managed to get to her house when the light disappeared, but when she looked at her parking spot, she reportedly had a very large rabbit sitting there where her car would normally be looking through the night to her. The surprised woman claimed that she had run in and closed the door, and that the next morning she woke up with a headache. Dover and Milford investigated the site and discovered that the car was imbued with abnormal electromagnetic readings, particularly in the driver's seat. What is happening here with the orb and the giant rabbit and the headache? Is this a case of a Skinwalker, a spirit, a UFO or what? Who knows? You can listen to an interview with these two in UFO Think Tank Radio here Y here.

If this were the case of a Skinwalker, it would not be the first time there have been sightings of the legendary creatures in the lands of the Navajo, or by law enforcement officers who have found them. A New Mexico highway patrol officer says he was on a stretch of road south of Gallup, New Mexico, when he came face to face with something he could not explain. While on patrol, the officer claims that a creature wearing a "white ghost mask" ran to his car at high speed, supposedly easy and effortless, walking at full speed through the patrol car. A few days later, the same officer claimed that he had been having a coffee with another patrolman on the road and the conversation was diverted to the strange experience. The original witness discovered that the other officer had had a remarkably similar encounter with a spectral, ghoul-like person who had appeared in the dark to run alongside the car at high speeds of at least 65 mph along a stretch of road in the desert before running. retreat in the remote wastelands.

There was another strange case related to me personally after my possible encounter with Skinwalker, with a man who claimed to have been a police officer on the Navajo reservation in the late 1990s when he went out at night on a rather strange call. . According to him, the report was for some kind of disturbance just outside the settlement on the margins of the harsh nature that surrounds it. An unidentified man allegedly wandered down the road howling and screaming with an incredible volume and someone had called the police. When the witness arrived there, he states that he and his companion met a tall, thin man who looked very disheveled and howled at the sky like a coyote or a wolf. Everything was very disturbing from the beginning, but things would become very strange very quickly. The witness would tell me:

So this guy is out there, on this lonely stretch of road on the outskirts of the city, and he looks completely dazed and out of it. Walk a little, throw your head back, and just unleash this animal howl that I have not heard. It is simply chilling. Obviously, we can not have this guy on the road making so much noise so close to the city, it could be a danger and it looks like he might be drunk or drugged, so we got out of the car. This guy stays completely still and stares at us.

We ask him what's going on and we throw flashlights at him, and he seriously looks like a demon standing there, his face pale, emaciated and his eyes bulging. He does not answer our questions at all, so at this point we are getting closer and closer, asking ourselves what we are going to do with this guy. It was then that his eyes shone, as if they shone. Then, suddenly, it's running at full speed, with such speed and acceleration that, well, no star on the track could do it, much less a guy who looked like he could barely stand a moment before. It was incredible. And he simply advances on the road to the desert at a phenomenal and explosive speed.

We got in the car and followed him and he keeps getting faster and faster, until my partner and I look at the speedometer and swear that this guy is reaching almost 50 miles per hour. Stay right in front of us no matter how fast we go. Then he gets on all fours, advances and deviates from the road towards the night, dissolving in the desert, screaming and howling as he does so. Was it a Skinwalker? I do not know, but it's about the strangest damned thing I've ever encountered.

I do not know if this particular witness is legitimate or not, or if I was just pulling my leg, but it's still a very strange story that seems to suggest Skinwalker very much, and again, at least supposedly, was witnessed by police reserve. Whether either of these stories is really paranormal or not, it is a glimpse into another world that most of us do not have the opportunity to see very often, that of the police patrolling these places, forgotten places. Here, in this prohibitive terrain and surrounded by myths and legends, these officers of the law encounter things beyond their understanding and training, the things that lurk and inhabit the night beyond our capacity for understanding.
