The mother of Brooklyn IVF who offered to exchange her childhood embryo for the embryo of the child of her dreams is on the way to creating her perfect family.
Couples from all over the world contacted The Post after it published a request from the "Lisa" actress, 37, to exchange her female biological embryo with that of a stranger. (Names have been changed for privacy reasons).
"I'm speechless, excited and very grateful," he said Monday.
Lisa posted the petition in the IVF support groups on Facebook so her kindergarten child could have a little brother.
Now, the main contender is a frozen male embryo from Manhattan, offered by a 40-year-old mother who stays at home and is desperate to have a daughter.
"I identify with Lisa's problem because I have a 5-year-old son and I want a girl next," explained the woman, "Valerie." "It's something I've wanted since childhood."
THE BABY BORN WITH PARASITIC TWIN HAS EXTRA LIMITATIONS
She had her son through IVF in 2013 and, two years later, she dived into the reserve of additional embryos that she had frozen to conceive a girl.
Tragically, the pregnancy ended after 18 and a half weeks, as a scan revealed that the baby had anencephaly, a condition in which parts of the brain and skull are missing.
"She had no hope of life," said Valerie, who has been married for nine years. "It was horrible, I'm Catholic and I buried her on a small plot of land owned by the church."
Since then, with a fully equipped nursery in her three-room apartment, she has longed for a girl even more.
Valerie and her husband of 43 years, who runs her own health products company, have undergone several IVF rounds, which cost around $ 30K, but none of the female embryos was viable.
"I really wish I did not care about sex, but I do," said Valerie, who like Lisa was treated at the New Hope Fertility Clinic in Midtown. "I tried to change my mind, but I just can not."
He now has at least 10 male embryos in the ice, one of which he would like to offer Lisa.

As for changing it for Lisa's girl, Valerie says "it's not there yet" and that "I could consider" using Lisa's embryo "further down the line". embryos
His motivation to give Lisa one of his male embryos (half Sicilian and German and half Nigerian) is completely altruistic.
The graduate of Boston University said: "I've been researching these places from where you can adopt embryos, but it's a scam." I did not want to donate my embryos to these companies. I'm a huge capitalist, I'm in favor of making money, but I do not like the way these clinics are charging couples $ 7,500 or more to get a donated embryo.
"I want to give these embryos to genuinely help people."
Lisa is now considering her options, including the offer from Valerie and two Australians interested in changing their last male embryo for their girl. He also had a prior offer from a couple in California who "could only produce children."
"It's incredibly exciting," he added.
