Launched the ships Progress MS-10 and Cygnus NG-10

Two cargo ships, one Russian and the other American, took off to the international space station with supplies for their crew.

On November 7 (12:15 UTC), the Japanese Konoutori-7 was decoupled from the Harmony module of the orbital complex and released at 16:51 UTC. It made its re-entry falling on the Pacific Ocean at 21:41 UTC on November 10. In this mission a capsule capable of resisting the reentry, called HSRC, was transported and it sank at 22: 06UTC, being later recovered. Inside were results of experiments that will be examined by scientists.

At 18:14 UTC on November 16, the Russian ship Progress MS-10 was taking off from Baikonur. He used a Soyuz-FG rocket, the same type that will be used soon for a new manned mission. The ship reached the expected low orbit without problems, and after several maneuvers, it was coupled to the Zvezda module of the space station, at 19:28 UTC on November 18. On board, it transports 2.5 tons of fuel, water, air, oxygen, food, spare parts, personal items, experiments, etc., which will be unloaded during the next few days.

On November 17, the US cargo ship Cygnus NG-10 departed from the base of Wallops. His Antares-230 rocket took off at 09:01 UTC, also in the direction of the international space station. Baptized as S.S. John Young, was captured by the robotic arm of the complex at 10:20 UTC on November 19. Thanks to this mission, experiments will be carried out on 3D printing, technology recycling and simulation of the creation of celestial bodies from stardust. The ship will remain at the station until the month of February.

Cygnus also traveled three small satellites: the CHEFsat-2, KickSat-2, and MYSAT-1. The first is a 3U cubesat of 3.7 kg, owned by the NRL, which will be used for communications trials; the second is another 3U cubesat, 5.5 kg, from which more than 100 tiny Sprites from Cornell University will be released; and finally, the MYSAT-1 is a 1kg cubesat 1U of weight, from the Masdar institute, developed by students. The first two satellites are American and the third in the United Arab Emirates.
