The alleged alien abduction of Luis Carlos Serra in 1978 is an interesting case, no less important Due to the particularly violent nature of the encounter.. Shortly after noon on the 24th.th In March 1978, Luis Carlos Serra, 16, made his way through the jungle near the village of Penalva in Maranhao, Brazil, in search of guava. Suddenly, the tranquility of his surroundings was interrupted by a great explosion. He moved his attention upward and witnessed a bright light above. Later he would remember that the intensity of the light was such that it made his eyes ache.
Then, he fell to the ground, lying on his back, as if pushed by a pair of invisible hands. No matter how hard he tried, he could not move. I was paralyzed. He stayed on the jungle floor for a moment before he began to feel his body rising in the air. Serra remained flat in a horizontal position. He was heading towards the light. The closer he got, the more he could distinguish a "round object," which was the obvious source of brightness. When he got even closer, he could see a dome on top of the ship. In this dome there were three windows, one of which was open. Moments later, he realized that he was heading towards this open window.
He would "float" in before finding himself descending to the ground. Immediately he noticed three figures around him. They were about three feet tall and each wore "metal suits with visors". I would remember that they were talking, although I did not understand what they were saying. Or what language might have been. Then, I would feel movement. The ship was in transit.

After a short time, the ship stopped suddenly. Once again, Serra, still paralyzed, would be floating up and out of the ship. It would move through the air for several moments before descending to a huge, flat rock. There was tall grass around him, but that was all. There were not even stars in what he presumed was the sky, only "the solid blackness." Then, he noticed the figures around him again. Before he could react, one of the strange creatures forced a "strange liquid" into a "transparent ball" in his mouth. It was then that he fainted.
The next thing he knew, he was back in the jungle near his house. It was dark and it felt like night. Although I did not know it at the time, three days had passed. It was the afternoon of the 27th.th March. He tried to cry for help, but he could barely speak, and he was still paralyzed. Eventually, a fisherman passing by would find the teenager crippled and confused. I would take the child to the local hospital. However, it was only small and limited in the services they could provide.
However, they did reveal some chilling injuries and marks on his body. His head, for example, which at first seemed to have been shaved, was actually burned or burned. The top of his ears also showed burn marks. Even more disturbing, four of Serra's teeth had been broken. This seems to have taken place relatively recently, since I still had fresh blood in my mouth.
After two days in the local hospital, and still without feeling in his extremities, he was transferred to one of the main hospitals in the city.

Although he was awake during his initial stay at the local hospital, and during the first days at the city hospital, he was essentially catatonic. He would simply look forward without reacting, regardless of what the people around him said or did. However, a total of ten days after the strange incident in the jungle near his house, he would suddenly regain his senses. However, he still did not have total control over his body. Serra would require, for example, intravenous feeding for some time. It would also require a temporary catheter.
In addition, he faced a flood of extensive and intrusive examinations by no less than eight physicians. All of whom, incidentally, were as perplexed as the next about what happened to this child from an otherwise sleepy town. Although he would not remember more details of the incident, when he finally regained the ability to speak and essentially returned to "normal life," he would count the same account repeatedly. Not once would it deviate from the version of events.
Given Brazil's long history of UFO incidents, which include several prominent cases of extraterrestrial abduction, as well as the genuine confusion of the eight physicians who examined it, Luis Carlos Serra's claims should perhaps be subject to further investigation. Apparently, something happened in the jungle, otherwise calm and serene, that Serra knew so well. Just what that "something" could be, remains open to debate.
