First aid to apply
For first-degree burns.
Wash with cold water and soap and place compresses of cold water.
Second grade.
Wash with cold water and soap.
Do not burst the blisters, call an ambulance or take the person to a health center if the extension is greater than the palm of the hand.
Third degree.
Wash with cold water, cover with gauze, call your emergency medical service or take to a healthcare center.
Precautions
- If burns are severe near hands or arms, they should be removed: rings, watches, bracelets, etc.
- If the person is burning, extinguish the flames by covering it with a blanket and rolling it on the floor.
- Do not tear off clothing that is attached to the skin.
- Do not apply ointments, creams, or any other medication or product.
- Never administer medications, alcohol, etc.
- Avoid contaminating the burned surface with your hands or breathing. Keep your mouth closed when applying dressings.
