As if we were in Enceladus
Well there you have it: Enceladus as never before we had seen it in some images captured during the flyby that the Cassini probe made last October 14, located only 1,839 kilometers from the surface of the satellite.

The scientists hoped to find a cratered region, but have come across a region full of contrasts. "The northern regions are crossed by a spider web made up of thin ones that cut through the craters," explains Paul Helfenstein, a member of the Cassini team at the Cornell University (U.S).

On October 28 the probe will again have an encounter with Enceladus. It will be located 49 km from the south polar region making an incursion into the frozen geyser that emerges from its surface. Scientists expect data that clearly shows how hydrothermal activity is occurring and find out new chemical details of the underground ocean to really see what satellite's potential for habitability.
