The launch was originally scheduled for the morning of Thursday, November 15, but the inclement weather pushed the launch Friday morning, and then Saturday. As of this morning (November 16), officials have indicated that the weather conditions look good for Saturday morning, with less than 5 percent chance of climate-related concern, and that the launch is on the way.

The Cygnus spacecraft is scheduled to arrive at the space station on Monday (November 19), a day after the Russian cargo ship Progress landed at the station. Astronauts will face Cygnus approaching and docking in the space station. Then, the work will begin to discharge the crucial load. According to the authorities, the spacecraft will remain at the station for three months, and after it separates from the station it will deploy cubesats and complete other missions before returning to Earth and burning over the South Pacific Ocean.
