          YouTube confirmed that the video sharing site closed on Tuesday night, but it was not immediately clear what caused the mass disruption.

YouTube temporarily went down on Tuesday and was restored after about an hour and the company said it is investigating the cause.
Users began to notice interruptions in website service and applications around 9:20 p.m. ET Those who tried to access videos or upload content received an error message.
Youtube TV and YouTube Music were affected by the interruption of service, the Verge reported. 
At 11 o'clock at night, Google's home site tweeted "We're back!" and "if you continue to experience problems, let us know."
YouTube did not immediately respond to a request from Fox News to comment.
