Week 8: fantasy footballs, sleepers and sleepers.
Week 8: fantasy footballs, sleepers and sleepers.
Week 8 of the NFL and the fantasy football season are here and, as always, we have the stallions, the doubters and the sleepers this week.
Make sure to use USA TODAY Sports classification To help too, and good luck!
Studs
QB Baker Mayfield, Cleveland Browns
He was asleep on this list last week and threw a pair of touchdowns and 43 yards on the ground. Now, he has a date with the Steelers, the sixth worst pass defense in the NFL. He is in a position to flourish.
RB Marlon Mack, Indianapolis Colts
The Raiders give up 131.8 rushing yards per game and Mack comes from 126 yards, two touchdowns against the Bills. This could not have aligned more perfectly.
WR Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
With Jameis Winston under center, he recovered from two mediocre games with 11 goals, seven receptions and 107 yards last week. The Bengals fight against the pass, so it's a big green light for Evans.
TE David Njoku, Cleveland Browns
He has added more than 50 yards in four consecutive games and scored in his last two. The Steelers also struggle to contain opposite closed ends.
Clothing
QB Deshaun Watson, Houston Texans
I know that the last games were against the Jaguars and the Bills, and that the Dolphins present a tasty showdown. But it does not seem he is 100 percent healthy. Proceed with caution.
RBs T.J. Yeldon, Carlos Hyde, Jacksonville Jaguars
How will the playing time between these two be? And what can they do against the second best runner in the league? Not much. It can be difficult to accommodate them in a week full of farewells, but it will be a long day for this pair.
WR Devin Funchess, Carolina Panthers
He scored in two straight games, but facing the Ravens, the toughest defense will keep him out of the end zone.
TE Kyle Rudolph, Minnesota Vikings
You may be tired of me saying it, but anyway: with TEs shallow this year, it's hard to find a name like Rudolph. But the Saints cover the tight end and Rudolph, who scored eight touchdowns last year and seven in 2017, has found that the pay is only twice this year.
Sleepers

QB Case Keenum, Denver Broncos
Insert the "starting quarterbacks against the Chiefs" here, although the Kansas City defense closed the session last week to allow 10 points to the Bengals. You have to imagine that you will have to throw all day to keep up with Patrick Mahomes.
RB Raheem Mostert, San Francisco 49ers
Matt Breida is not completely healthy either, and the runner who surprised the fantasy world by Alfred Morris two weeks ago he just had another solid game (59 yards on seven carries, four receptions for 19 receiving yards). The Cardinals' defense is the worst in the NFL, so it could be successful with Mostert as a Flex starter.
WR Robby Anderson, New York Jets
The Bears are not great against the pass, and with a decimated receiving corps in New York, Anderson received 10 goals last week. With the volume that you like, he could have a great game.
TE C.J. Uzomah, Cincinnati Bengals
On ESPN, the Bucs deliver the most points to oppose the tight ends, and Uzomah found the end zone last week. I bet he will do it again in week 8.
