President Donald Trump he referred to his sobriety as one of his "only good traits" on Monday, but that's not a good thing, according to Jimmy Kimmel.



"I'm not a drinker, I can honestly say I have not had a beer in my life." That's one of my only good traits. "I do not drink," Trump told reporters on Monday. "I've never had alcohol, you know, for any reason. Can you imagine if I had the disaster that it would be?



Trump said he "would be the worst in the world" if he were a drinker, but Kimmel said he is willing to take a risk with a drunken Trump.

"I do not know, maybe he would be better, it's worth a try," Kimmel said on "Live" on Monday. "By the way, I feel it's worth mentioning that this guy who has never had a drink in his life ever had his own brand of vodka with his name on it.



"That's something of everything you need to know about him," he added.

The president made the comments Monday when answering questions about the testimony in the Senate of Brett Kavanaugh, nominated to the Supreme Court, last week.



"I was surprised at how vocal he was about the fact that he likes beer," Trump said. "He has had some difficulty, I mean, he talked about things that happened when he drank, this is not a man who said alcohol was absent."

Highlighting Kavanaugh's ability to "surprise" the president, Kimmel said he heard everything he needs to know.



"After Kavanaugh's hearing last week, it was very difficult to enjoy a beer this weekend," he said. "Imagine being so out of the way, you even surprised Donald Trump with something," Kimmel said.
