Tiffany Haddish joined "The View" on Friday to talk about her new movie, "Nobody's Fool." But he also had some sweet words for his co-star, Whoopi Goldberg.

Haddish, 38, said he "fell in love" with Goldberg in the 1986 movie, "Jumpin 'Jack Flash."

"When I saw you making that movie, I thought, 'I want her to be my mom, I want to learn from her, I want her to tell me what's right and what's wrong,'" Haddish told Goldberg in "The View."

She continued, "I would pray for that all the time! Like, one day I will work with her, one day we will be friends, one day we will meet and then, as God answered my dreams!

"She supported me for a long time and I did not even know it," Haddish said of Goldberg's inspiration before meeting in person. "I'm going to get an EGOT one day too!"

An "EGOT" refers to people who have won at least one Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony. Only 15 people have achieved this prestigious status, including Goldberg.

In 2017, Haddish became a household name after starring in the blockbuster "Girl's Trip." That same year he launched his own special comedy on Showtime and published a memoir that debuted on the New York Times bestseller list.

She has spoken candidly about her struggles in trying to "do it" in the industry. She grew up in a foster home and said she experienced homelessness and sexual assault.

Haddish told "The View" that she is grateful for those who helped her on her path to success.

"I did not do it on my own, I had mentors and people who advised me and I listened ... it's important to have a support system," he said.
