Twiz and Nicole Stanley of Alvarado, a city about 30 miles south of Fort Worth, planned their wedding for two years before Mother Nature stepped forward to the big day, Fox 4.

"Given that the climate of Texas is so unpredictable at times, we simply keep our fingers crossed," Nicole told the news station. "When we realized that the rain would continue in the forecast, there was nothing we could do to change our plans or move to another place or something."
Several tents that the couple installed throughout the property had been lost because the rain was "catastrophic", but there was still a store.
Twiz and her friends tried to clean the area, and after the wedding, Nicole learned that "there were 15 guys under the main tent trying to get water out of the hall so that none of the women had to walk on it." "I had no idea how much it had rained and how flooded everything was until I got out of the limo down the aisle with my mom and dad and I saw it."

The video captured by one of his guests showed Twiz giving Nicole a piggyback ride down the flooded and muddy corridor.
"My heart almost came out of my chest," Nicole said. "He has always been my best friend and he has always rescued me in many ways, but that day and that moment was really my knight in shining armor, my hero."
The couple, who plan their honeymoon in New Orleans, Louisiana, said that although there is no rain in the forecast, they now know that "they can withstand any storm."
