The outgoing ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley, jokes about Trump and Senator Warren in his speech.

Outgoing Ambassador of the United States Nikki Haley mocked president Donald Trump, his longtime rival sen. Elizabeth Warren and other high profile politicians in a cheerful speech on Thursday.

Haley showed her ability to keep a secret last week with a shocking resignation announcement, but she showed a completely new talent during her speech in New York City on Thursday when she assumed the role of comedian for the night.

"Two years ago, Trump was here and made some waves with his comments, so last year you went with Paul Ryan, that is a Boy Scout and that's fine, but a little boring. So this year, you wanted to cheer things up again, "she joked after being introduced as the" next president of the United States. "

"I understand, you wanted an Indian woman, but Elizabeth Warren failed her DNA test," joked Haley, whose parents emigrated from Punjab, India. "Actually, when the president discovered that I was an American Indian, he asked me if I belonged to the same tribe as Elizabeth Warren."

Haley, who will maintain his position in the U. until the end of the year, she acknowledged that she had hard-to-fill shoes as a keynote speaker, an honor recently awarded to Speaker Ryan, Trump and Hillary Clinton.

"I'm really excited to be at Al Smith's dinner." "As a member of Trump's Cabinet, it's exciting to go out to dinner without being harassed," Haley said. "Actually, the president called me this morning and gave me very good advice.

"He said that if I was stuck with laughter, I just boasted about his achievements, he really killed in the U.N., I have to tell you," he added, referring to a Incident in the General Assembly of the United States. Last month, when audience members laughed after Trump said that his "administration has achieved more than almost none in the history of our country."

Haley also left aside her role as US ambassador in a joke about "the most important thing" she learned working with Trump.

"I learned that the UN has 193 member countries, 180 of which are angry at us on any given day, and the most important thing I learned is that with all our differences there is still one thing that unites all 193 countries: point each of them I was paying Paul Manafort, "she said, referring to Former Trump campaign president, who was convicted on federal money laundering charges.

The former governor of South Carolina also offered criticism of rapper Kanye West and Trump's harassed attorney general, Jeff sessions.

"Jeff Sessions wanted to be here, but he recused himself," he said. "Actually, I saw Jeff Sessions earlier today, but not in New York, I saw him on LinkedIn looking for a job."

Al Smith's dinner, a white tie gala with prominent politicians, was one of Haley's first appearances since he announced his resignation at a meeting of the Oval Office with the president on October 9.

"She has done a fantastic job and we have done a fantastic job together," Trump said during the meeting. "We are all happy for you in a way, but we hate to lose you."

Haley said his work with the US was an "honor of a lifetime" and said he would continue to support Trump as a "private citizen."

"I hope to continue expressing myself from time to time on important matters of public policy, but surely I will not be a candidate for any office in 2020," he said after his announcement. "As a private citizen, I hope to support his re-election as president and support the policies that will continue to move our great country to even greater heights."
