The ongoing persecution for alleged suspect of murder, after a series of violent crimes
The Tennessee authorities are desperate to capture a double murder suspect who they say flee after a series of violent crimes.
As the search for Kirby Gene Wallace, 53, intensified in the dense rural area of Tennessee north of Nashville, some intersections were closed in Montgomery County and in Stewart County officers will follow some buses on Tuesday to load and unload the children for their safety, authorities said.
"We want to encourage residents to remain vigilant," Tennessee Investigative Bureau (TBI) spokeswoman Susan Nilan told a news conference on Tuesday. "We have no reason to believe that he left this area."
Local, state and federal agencies are searching from land and air, going door to door and searching every abandoned building, officials said Tuesday.
The authorities said they can not rule out whether Wallace is receiving outside help and promised to find him "one way or another."
Wallace is suspected of killing a 63-year-old woman after she and her husband returned home from church on September 23, said Stewart County Sheriff Frankie Gray. according to the tennessean. The couple was tied up and their house was burned, Gray said, according to the newspaper.

Days earlier, a woman in her 80s was returning home from church Thursday, when Wallace allegedly stopped her in her car and forced her to enter her home at knifepoint, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said.
Inside the house, Wallace allegedly showed a loaded rifle, threatened her and disarmed her phone to prevent her from asking for help, the sheriff's office said. Wallace allegedly tied her to her bed before fleeing in her car, authorities said.
As the search continues, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office urged residents to stay indoors, keep their doors and windows closed and report any suspicious activity.
"We know what their capabilities are," authorities said at a press conference on Monday. "He knows he has this area here surrounded, it will be difficult for him to get out, so I would say he would do anything to get out of this area."
A reward of $ 7,500 is available for information that will lead to his capture, the BIT said.
Wallace is described as having gray hair, hazel eyes and possible facial hair. He stands 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 157 pounds, authorities said.
Wallace is wanted on charges that include first-degree murder, felony murder, attempted murder, aggravated arson and especially aggravated kidnapping, authorities said.
Anyone with information about their location should call 911.
