Democrats and Republicans are facing each other, of course.
But in reality they are campaigning one over the other, playing completely different campaigns, animated by disparate themes and directed by the President Donald Trump, sometimes different sets of facts.
Both parties may be right, or extremely wrong.
It is clear that campaigns at this time have less to do with undecided voters than different estimates of what will motivate people to vote.
Democrats are plotting a final push of two weeks focused on medical care, confident in his opinion on the number 1 problem that appears in the campaign messages from coast to coast.

The very different moves are evident in the campaigns for the Senate in Texas, where Trump's rally with Senator Ted Cruz took over the headlines. It is also obvious in the race for the governor in Florida, where Hillary Clinton will raise money behind closed doors (no public event was scheduled) for Democrat Andrew Gillum on Tuesday.

President Trump is honest, open and transparent about the political value he sees in the caravan of fleeing migrants Violence and poverty in Central America.
Not only is he not misinterpreting the words, he also clearly stated that the caravan, and the solid images of the caravan, could be good for Republicans this fall, so he wants to talk about it as much as possible.
Of course, it is a problem. immigration and national security are important issues in virtually any election, at any time.
But the president is not talking about the legislation he has worked on or what the party has proposed. It is not talking about a new diplomacy or plans to contain the insecurity and gang violence at the source in Central America.
Republicans have leaned over and lost immigration reform since the president took office.
What Trump is trying to do is change of other issues that voters said they also care about, such as medical care, salaries and corruption, because those issues are not playing well.
Up to a point, that's fair. But the alarmists, those who have a racial charge and, possibly, a tactic to attract fear for political ends must be considered from a critical perspective.
The only real idea of the president is close and militarize The border is probably illegal. The National Guard or other military officers could help the Border Patrol, but again, that's a real conversation we're not having.
