The NBA will likely ban Kanye West's long-awaited Adidas. basketball shoe this season due to the design of the shoe, ESPN reported on Monday.
Adidas athletes were expected to present the new shoe on the court during the 2018-2019 season, but it is unlikely that NBA officials will approve kicks without a new design, according to the report.

Citing sources from the sports industry, ESPN said the NBA would find the shining reflective heels of the shoe that distract the public too much in the sand and at home.
NBA officials must approve the new designs of the brands before each season. The NBA had not formally revised the new Yeezy shoe until Monday, but the design that West showed most recently would not be allowed as it is, a source told ESPN.
The versions of the shoe without the reflective design would be approved, according to the source.

West showed the shoe in a handful of Instagram posts last week, accumulating more than 2 million likes and comments, collectively.
He also used them during his appearance on "Saturday Night Live" over the weekend, when he delivered a pro-Trump surprise tirade and said he would run for president in 2020.
The last week has been difficult for West: the audience of "SNL" booed him when he expressed his support for Trump, some fans denounced him and rejected the release of his new album, "Yandhi", almost a month.
West offered a strange set of tweets on Sunday saying he supported "abolishing" the 13th Amendment. Later he clarified that it must be amended, not abolished. The 13th Amendment abolished slavery in the United States. UU., "Except as punishment for an offense of which the party should have been duly convicted."
West, who wore a "Make America Great Again Hat", said about his appearance on "SNL": "They bothered me in the backstage, they said: 'Do not go out with that hat.' They intimidated me in the backstage. Then they say I'm in a sunken place. "
West faced a backlash from the apparition, but also scored Trump's praise.
"I do not see Saturday Night Live (despite having hosted it before.) It's not funny anymore, there's no talent or charm, it's just a political announcement for the Democrats," Trump tweeted. "The news is that Kanye West, who got a MAGA hat after the show (although he was told "no"), it was great, he's leading the charge! "
