New research reveals that Americans in general want the vacation of their dreams to last nine days.

A study that examines the duration of parents to try to give their children perfect memories of childhood, found that mothers and fathers have to save on average 10 months for this to happen.

Whether they dream of making memories at Disneyland, flying around the world or enjoying the luxury of a cruise, parents put an average of $ 416 dollars into their dream vacation fund each month.
From reducing their own expenses to socializing or ordering take-out, to using coupons, going through night-time appointments and shopping at discount stores, the research discovered the greatest efforts parents make to try to take their children to that dream trip.
However, it's worth it, since the vast majority of parents (89 percent) believe it is important for their children to travel.
And to provide them with sunscreen, of course.

The study of 2,000 parents with school-age children found that parents spend an average of six months carefully planning their dream vacations and working out how to make it happen.

What are the "dream holidays" more like? The average budget for a trip of life is almost $ 5,000, and many parents budget and save diligently for this to happen.
More than six out of ten parents have worked longer hours to save money, while 55 percent have purchased at discount stores and reduced the time they spend with their friends.
Some parents are willing to be a little more extreme: 3 out of 10 have canceled streaming services or other online accounts and 24 percent have given up saving for retirement in order to save money for a family trip.

On the other hand, these sacrifices can bear fruit. Sixty-three percent of people say they have been in what they consider a "dream vacation."
The ideal trip is nine days, and parents say that the most important aspects of a trip are location (79 percent), budget (71 percent) and travel dates (47 percent). Attractions during the stay (46 percent) and transportation to the destination (21 percent) complete the five most important aspects of a trip.
For dream vacations, parents would also like to be close to beaches (72 percent), restaurants (69 percent) and amusement parks (59 percent).
Meanwhile, 100 percent of the children in the middle seat of this photo would love to go to the amusement parks on each of their vacations.
