Teen arrested in vicious attack of Jewish man in Brooklyn

(Courtesy of CrownHeights.info)A teenager was arrested on Monday in connection with the brutal beating of a Jewish man, an assault reportedly less than 30 minutes after the suspect was released from New York City police custody for an assault. Store theft incident not related.
The alleged attack took place just before 4 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Empire Boulevard and Albany Avenue in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn.
The surveillance video shows the unidentified teenager approaching the victim while crossing the street with a large stick. The victim tries to escape and is seen running to a nearby laundry, CrownHeights.info informed
The son of the owner of the laundry tried to open the door to help the victim, but could not open before the man was hit in the back and shoulder, a blow that broke the stick.
The perpetrator threw what was left of the weapon to the victim, wounding him and another spectator inside the laundry, CrownHeights.info reported.
The entire incident was captured by several surveillance cameras, which shows the teenager fleeing the scene and towards Lefferts Park while several witnesses were chasing him.
New York police officers and the Shomrim, a volunteer Jewish security patrol in the area, were called to the scene. The teenager was arrested in the park shortly after.
The photos of the incident show several witnesses holding the teenager while waiting for the police to arrive.
According to reports, police said he had released the teenager less than 30 minutes before the alleged assault after he was accused of stealing from a nearby warehouse. He had been released on a desktop-like ticket in that case.

The New York police and Shomrim did not immediately return the Fox News request for additional information.
Monday's attack follows a separate incident in which a taxi driver from New York City was captured on video brutally beating a Jewish man in the middle of an intersection early Sunday morning.
The victim of that incident, Lipa Schwartz, told a local assemblyman that the alleged attacker, later identified as Farrukh Afzal, 37, was shouting the words "Allah" and "Israel" while beating him in the Brooklyn neighborhood , strongly Jewish. from Borough Park.
The Brooklyn District Attorney's Office told Fox News on Monday that Afzal, of Staten Island, faces an attempted assault in the second degree, assault in the third degree, threatening charges and harassment.
