Ryanair under fire for racist incident in flight

A passenger on a delayed Ryanair flight from London, who apparently got fed up waiting to get off a plane after he landed in the city of Malaga, in southern Spain, surprised his fellow passengers by using the emergency exit to jump to a wing. (January 3)
APLONDON: Ryanair has faced criticism after a video posted online apparently showed the airline crew did not take action to eliminate a passenger who launched a racist tirade against a fellow passenger.
The video, uploaded to social media by Britain's David Lawrence, showed a man hurling racial slurs at an elderly black woman sitting in the same row and demanding that she move seats aboard a flight from Barcelona to London on Friday.
It was not clear what had caused the fight. Lawrence told ITV that the man abused both the woman and his daughter, but the flight attendants did not expel him from the flight.
The low-budget airline tweeted on Sunday that it had seen the images and reported the incident to the police. He did not provide further comments.
