Buble told The Associated Press on Tuesday he does not plan to retire soon. He disputes an October 13 interview published in the Daily Mail that said he would leave the music after the release of his upcoming album "Love", which will be held on November 16.
The report suggests that the Grammy-winning singer was moving away from music to continue the battle against his son Noah's cancer, but Buble said the story is false.
"I'll keep going until the news of my death comes out, which probably will also be false," he said with a chuckle. "At the time, you're very famous now, things are going really well on this record, Buble is hanging with Elvis ... Buble and Elvis have soaked peanut butter and banana sandwiches."
The Canadian singer took a two-year break from public life to spend time with his family before recording his eighth studio album. He and his wife, actress Luisana Lopilato, have two children, Elias and Noah, together and welcomed a girl named Vida Amber Betty in July.

The singer said he found out about the report after receiving text messages from a couple of friends. In response to his friends, he told them: "Consider the source."
Buble called the Daily Mail report "negative energy." As a public figure, he said he understands that he comes with the territory but he does not want to deal with that yet.
"I'm not strong enough to deal with that, so I do not," he said. "By the way, those friends who wrote to me, I said, 'Thank you so much for caring about my well-being, do me a favor, do not share it with me, send me pictures of your children and tell me how you are doing, because I know more about that.'
Buble is known for his critically acclaimed albums "Come Fly with Me" and "Caught in the Act."
