Launched the satellite AEHF-4
An Atlas-V (551) rocket (AV-073) launched on October 17, at 04:15 UTC, a military communications satellite. The vehicle took off from Cape Canaveral, Florida, and placed its cargo in a geostationary transfer orbit.
The satellite located on board is called AEHF-4. It has been manufactured by Lockheed Martin on an A2100M platform, and carries a payload provided by Northrop Grumman, which will provide secure communications in the SHF and EHF bands. With a weight of 6,168 kg, it will operate in a geostationary orbit along with the old Milstar, serving the US military.
