Is it really true that we still have a gender pay gap?
Is it really true that we still have a gender pay gap?
.
- The facts:
Like Apple, Google, Facebook and many other brands, we support spiritual teachers and conscious media brands require money to live and do what they do. But there seems to be a perception that the latter should not earn money in their work.
- Reflect on:
Do we perceive money as evil? Why do we give him so much power? Why are we willing to financially support something that we know is not good for humanity, but then we are not willing to support something that is really helping?
This is a big one!
If we talk about gurus, pastors, content creators, meditation teachers, conscious journalists, etc., there seems to be a big question about whether or not these people should make money doing their job. This is something that is also personal to me, since I have been working in this space for 10 years and I have heard everything in the book about whether or not we should earn money as a Collective Evolution.
I can not ignore the amount of spiritual community and based on the truth that feels this way, but we have certainly heard a lot and have even told us that if we earned money, we would corrupt and finish. doing what many elite individuals do in the standard capitalist world.
This is funny because when people discover that we, like CE, earned almost $ 2 million dollars a year and never lost our vision, we were corrupted or we were exhausted, things begin to change within their perception. This is a conversation I always enjoy seeing that people's eyes light up at the possibility that money does not get corrupted, it's a beautiful thing.
Another interesting observation in this space is that, apparently, the average parishioner has no problems keeping his community funded and flowing. Churches make millions every year. While some do not always agree with how money is spent, communities thrive. Also, on average, we seem to have no problems spending money on things that we do not really support in the background. For example, the car you drive, the computer you use, the phone you use, the clothes and shoes you wear. A good part of these were probably built with materials that harm the environment and by people who probably received an overpayment. But we see them as a necessity, and therefore, we waste.
But what about spirituality outside of religion? What happens with the conscious media? Do not we value it? Do we miss the connection with the way we support these things?
Our relationship with money is the challenge we face
This leads to what might be our perceptions of money. Many of us seem to see money as something bad. I understand where this perception comes from. Many of us see how people pursue money, how they can change their actions or their character when they get it, and how it seems that the world is run by greed and lust for money. I get it. But is this true about money? Is this true about all people? Or maybe just a few?
This unbalanced judgment and the relationship to money, which many have in this space, finally causes three things: 1. an unclear observation of who are the people who are asking for money for their services, 2. a possible lack of money in their own experience since they are giving so much power to how "bad" it is, and 3. the inability for the things we value to prosper.
Money is simply a tool. Energy defined in a form of something that is used in our current level of consciousness to obtain things. That's all it is. What people have done with money is about them, not about money. Do we all want to live in a world where money is an obstacle to experiencing life? Where does the lack of money contribute to people being hungry, sick or suffering? No, it is likely that more than the majority of the world's population does not want this. But the money is here and we all have to use it for now.
And the reality is that spiritual teachers or those who work in the space of consciousness have the same accounts that everyone else.
Why do we think in this way in the conscious media?
It is common when I talk to colleagues in the space that your community, your followers, your followers, your readers, etc., will be hard on them every time they sell something, ask for money or talk about finances. I want to be clear, not everyone is judging teachers or spiritual marks in this space, they are just some, but they seem to happen in large numbers.
For 10 years we have received criticism for the need to earn money to do our job here in CE. And after answering thousands of emails over the years, I realized that one of the main things is that it causes these responses.
Apart from the many other less common reasons, the main one seems to be that communities do not have a sufficiently clear visual understanding of how much work, time or effort is being done by the person or brand that works to provide services. Therefore, there is no understanding of the equipment it takes, the resources required and the costs for this to occur.
This is what motivated us to Reveal all our costs, finances and plans. publicly to our community so that there may be a clearer understanding of why this work should be supported. As mentioned above, it seems that we have no problems supporting Apple, Samsung, Google, Facebook and other major brands that we consider "the enemy", but when it comes to people who work to really make a difference, we place them under the microscope or not assessing work enough to support. Again, this is not for everyone, only the majority at this time.
I wrote this because for me it is important to share the truth and the real life experience of a person and a brand that work in this space. I also deeply value the conscious media, the spiritual teachers and those who spend their lives helping humanity to grow in their consciousness. Personally I support several teachers and different brands because I know first hand that if not ... they will no longer be available.
In addition to those reasons, I was also inspired by a video of a friend and colleague, Seven Bomar, who perfectly discussed the question of "Should spiritual teachers be paid?" And I had to share it. Talk about some of the biggest brands in this space that earn millions each month. Explore the legitimate questions and fight with any business owner in the space, including myself, by figuring out what to do to keep things going, while also having to do this time-consuming, but important, job Same time.

Free presentation by Franco DeNicola: The change in consciousness
We interviewed Franco DeNicola about what is happening with the change of consciousness. It turned out to be one of the most profound and important information we got in an interview.
We explore why things are moving a little more slowly with change sometimes, which prevents certain solutions from being presented and the important role we all play.
