A UFO expert who investigated extraterrestrial sightings for the UK government has drafted a contingency plan for the day when humans discover extraterrestrial life.
Nick Pope, who worked for the Ministry of Defense (MoD) between 1985 and 2006, says that the world is incredibly ill prepared for the eventuality of extraterrestrial contact.
Whether humans discover strange microbes on Mars or detect radio signals from a distant civilization, Mr. Pope said that "high-level strategic planning" should be available.
And exclusively for Express.co.uk, the UFO expert was in charge of writing a five-page document describing what he believes is an adequate response to discover aliens.
