"The elements of design, or visual language, that make up our house style try to transmit, through images, color and appearance, the qualities that we want the Department of National Security is known to be innovative and proactive in our mission and to be accessible and direct to our public.
They entrust us with the relentless protection and defense of America, its ideals, its way of life and its people. We are the reliable and authorized partner of the states, local and private. Entities of the sector that share our mission. We are a form of government of the 21st century and we are proud to protect our country.
And our communications should reflect our convictions.
The following pages introduce the basics of our house style. The hallmarks of this visual language are the palettes of distinctive colors, the complementary, standardized typefaces Uses of images and consistent placement of our firm. The style of our house will guarantee maximum recognition and a clean and contemporary look for all our communications.
These house style guidelines should be used in conjunction with the Stamp and Signature Guidelines, which provide more detailed information about the use of the DHS signature and its variations. "
