Jayme Closs, 13, was reported missing after police discovered her dead parents inside her home in Wisconsin.
(Barron County Sheriff's Department)Police are looking for a 13-year-old girl considered "disappeared and in danger" after her parents were found dead at her home in northwest Wisconsin on Monday, the sheriff's office said.
It was reported that Jayme Closs had disappeared after officers discovered the bodies of his parents inside his home on Highway 8, located west of Barron, said Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald FOX9. The Barron County Sheriff's Office did not immediately respond to the Fox News request for information.
Police responded to a 911 call just before 1 am in a house west of Barron, Wisconsin.
(FOX9)"When the officers arrived at the scene they found two adults who died. "A 13-year-old woman is not in residence and is considered missing and in danger of extinction," the sheriff's office wrote in a Facebook post along with a picture of Jayme.
The police received a 911 just before 1 o'clock in the morning from a person asking for help at the residence. The authorities did not give details about the call or how the two adults died, except that there were shots.
Jayme is described as being 5 feet tall, 100 pounds with green eyes and blond or strawberry blond hair.
The investigators said that Jayme has not been found since 9 a.m. and urged the public to disclose any information about the child's whereabouts. The FBI was called to help in the search, FOX9 reported.
Fitzgerald told FOX9 that no previous calls were made at the family home. The police did not indicate if there were possible suspects in the case, or if they believe that Jayme had left alone or was kidnapped.
