Frank Underwood is dead, but his size is big in the end & # 039; House of Cards & # 039; season
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - In the final season of Netflix Inc.'s "House of Cards," Frank Underwood has physically gone and died unexpectedly while asleep. But the ghost of the politician, winner of all the costs played by Kevin Spacey, pursues his wife and his young presidency.
The writers of the acclaimed drama had to remake the story after Spacey was accused of sexual misconduct a year ago and retired from the program that made Netflix a premium television player. The end of the Underwoods story, which the producers called a "computer season," will be available on Netflix on November 2.
At the end of last season, Frank's sculptural wife, Claire, played by Robin Wright, looked at the camera and declared "my turn" when she changed power and became the first female president of the United States.

After the departure of Spacey, executive producers and writers Frank Pugliese and Melissa James Gibson said that everyone involved in the program felt they wanted to move forward with a sixth and final season.
"What would it have been like to steal his turn?" Pugliese said in an interview. "It seemed an impossible and unacceptable way to end it that way."
The eight new episodes do not dance around Frank's absence. The first episode reveals from the beginning that he died in bed, but makes the cause of his death the subject of a continuous mystery.
"It would have been really dishonest to try to erase it essentially as a character," Gibson said. "I think that would not have honored the seeds of the show."

Spacey was nominated for five Emmy awards for his role in "House of Cards." But last November, Netflix quickly cut ties with the actor after allegations of sexual misconduct surfaced. More than 20 men have accused him and he has not said anything publicly about the accusations since an apology to the first accuser in October 2017.
Throughout the final season of "House of Cards", Claire is forced to constantly deal with the dealings of her late husband and the commitments he made with him.
"She is trying to forge her own path and in doing so, she has the opportunity and the obligation to face herself in a profound way," Gibson said.
Claire also has to figure out who she can trust since the White House is destabilizing with Frank offstage, a scenario that provided the writers with a rich history, they said.
"Circumstances became opportunities that I hope this season will fulfill," Pugliese said.
