Florida driver escapes an injury after the plywood impales a car's windshield
A motorist in Florida had almost a fault after a piece of plywood flew from a truck and was impaled on his windshield.
(Brevard County Fire Rescue)A driver in Florida is lucky to be alive after a large piece of plywood ended impaled on the windshield of his vehicle.
The Brevard County Fire Department said in a Facebook post that the incident took place on Interstate 95 in Rockledge, about 20 miles south of Titusville on the Atlantic coast of the state.
"A lucky biker!" Wrote the agency in the Facebook post. "The BCFR teams responded on Interstate 95MM 197 near Rockledge this afternoon and found this: a piece of plywood impaled on the windshield of a vehicle."
The plywood board was much wider than the vehicle and was hanging from either end of the car.

Driver, identified by Florida Today Rebecca Burgman, 35, suffered minor injuries but refused to receive treatment at the scene.
The Florida Highway Patrol told the newspaper that a truck driven by Jaime Riveira, 51, was hauling plywood when it broke loose and hit the car. Riveira received a fine for defective equipment when he could not secure his cargo, the newspaper reported.
