Flake calls the supporters of Trump & # 039; & # 039; lock it up & # 039; songs & # 039; disturbing, & # 039; and fears for the future of the Republican Party.

Sen. Jeff Flake, a Republican from Arizona, said in a recent interview that he expects someone to run against President Trump in the 2020 election, and that the continuous "harassment" of Trump supporters, usually in reference to Hillary. Clinton, they are "disturbing."

In your retirement interview with C-SPANFlake said the songs, which were triggered by the Trump campaign and have continued during his presidency, are more worrisome than the controversial things that Trump says.

"The disturbing thing is not so much what [Trump] he says more, are the cheers of the people behind him and the songs of 'Encerradla!' for example, that is simply improper, "said Flake." It makes me fear that it's going to be a longer process to get out of this than it should be. "

While the signing song that was often heard at Trump's campaign rallies was reserved for Clinton, at the president's rally in Iowa on Tuesday night, Trump mentioned Sen. Dianne Feinstein, a California Democrat, asking to the crowd: "How about Senator Feinstein? Beauty."

Moments later, the crowd quickly began the family chant.

The senator who retired for a period said: "Ultimately, voters will reevaluate those who can govern and those who can be treated with respect."

But, he said, "he fears for the future of the party if we do not remember who we are and what is really the conservatism of principles and decency, we have to go back to that."

Flake said he is not ruling out a career for the White House, but acknowledged that he "needs a break," and said he is retiring due to "political perspective."

FLAKE SLAMS GOP says it feels like it does not belong to any political party

"It's a difficult time to be here," he said. Flake said he "never liked" Trump, and to win a Republican primary election in the United States at this time, "you have to embrace all your politics."

The Republican Party "is the president's party right now, no doubt," Flake said. "You have to really embrace the president's policies and approve his behavior and that's the bottom line at the moment, but it will not always be like that, and eventually we'll realize where we should go."

Flake's full interview will air on October 13 at 10 p.m. ET at C-SPAN.
