EBay accuses Amazon of illegal poaching vendors





    EBay Inc. accuses the sales representatives of Amazon.com Inc. of attempting to poach the sellers in their own market through eBay's messaging system.

EBay sent a cease and desist letter to Amazon on Monday to stop the alleged recruitment practice after determining that approximately 50 Amazon sales representatives worldwide sent more than 1,000 messages to vendors on their platform, according to the letter, which was seen by The Wall Street Journal, and a person familiar with the investigation.
