The robot "uses computer vision to locate itself with respect to the visible markers in the approach to hit the ground with precision," the company said.
Late last year, Boston Dynamics revealed the Atlas robot he could do what seemed like approved kicks by gymnastics.
The company, which was sold by Google to Japanese tech conglomerate SoftBank for an undisclosed sum last year, has not revealed what it plans to do with its robots.
