It has been less than two weeks since Bill Cosby was sentenced and his lawyers are already trying to get him out of jail, and the judge in his case was also expelled.
A defense motion filed on Friday summarizes the requests of its lawyers, which include the annulment of the conviction and a sentence of three to ten years for errors committed in his case and sexual assault trial.
"The defendant, William H. Cosby, Jr., displaces this Court for a new trial in the interests of justice, or at least for reconsideration and modification of the sentence imposed on September 25, 2018," says the motion, of according to the deadline.
The Cosby defense team claims that Judge Steven O'Neill should have withdrawn from the sentencing hearing after the 2017 null judgment and the subsequent trial this spring.
