The journalist Laura Krantz explored the fascination of her relative with Bigfoot in her new podcast 'Wild Thing'.

However, when he realized that the hunt for the infamous Sasquatch was in his blood, he embarked on a one-year exploration to discover America's fascination with the beast in the forest.
His journey through the world of Bigfoot was described in his new podcast, "Wild Thing", in which he leaves no stone unturned in both the search for Bigfoot and in the idea of what kind of people his myth attracts.
Krantz revealed to Fox News in a recent telephone interview that his personal search began when he came across a random article in The Washington Post about a man named Grover Krantz.
"I was like, 'hey, same last name!'" He said. "And I started reading it and he seemed like a weirdo."
Grover was a bit eccentric, but a complete scientist. He donated his body to the "body farm" of the University of Tennessee and was known to measure the skull of people with his reliable caliber, according to the article.
"So, that's also weird, here's this guy who's clearly a scientist to the core and then there's this kind of disposable section on Bigfoot and I'll say, 'Okay, who is this guy?'" He said. "I asked around and it turns out we're related, he's my grandfather's cousin and he showed up at family events and measured people's heads."
It turns out that Grover was one of the pioneers of Bigfoot's hunt, which fascinated Laura. So much that he used his journalistic skills to investigate Bigfoot in what would become "Wild Thing."
"When I came across this guy's name and started reading about him, that made me reconsider Bigfoot." So part of what he wanted to do was say, "OK, I'm going to suspend disbelief for a minute and see what's in there. outside, '"he said. "I'm not only going to explore Bigfoot and what there is, but this subculture of American society that is interested in this and that spends a lot of time and effort trying to find this creature."
The average person probably has a mental image in his head of someone who hunts Bigfoot that involves a foil hat and a wall of conspiracy theories. While the Bigfoot hunter community is not exempt from conspiracy-minded members, Krantz said he wanted his program to investigate in the same spirit as his scientifically minded relative.

(Laura Krantz)"I came in contact with the kind of aliens," she said. "I knew I had to make a decision from the beginning because ... I do not know if you spent a lot of time on the Internet looking at Bigfoot, but it's a pretty deep rabbit hole, the potential for falling can be very high. "Bigfoot is in debt to the laws of physics, nature and biology as we know it today," as my family member Grover thought, "that helped reduce focus."
Given that Bigfoot sightings were reported in all states except Hawaii, it was not difficult to find a large number of people who were qualified to talk about Bigfoot and who were not interested in anything that could not be verified scientifically.
Krantz spoke with wildlife biologists, ecology experts, outdoor activities experts and others who did not think much about Bigfoot until they had an experience they simply could not explain. She says that most of the people she spoke with anecdotal evidence brought two incredible things. The first was a large-foot sighting. The second was the thought that this otherwise reasonable person would be pulling his leg.
"The most convincing things have really been the eyewitness accounts. "Talk to people who are really lumberjacks, experienced in outdoor activities who have experience in wildlife biology and ecology and tell these stories that will make the hair stand up on the back of their neck," he said. "They clearly experienced something that is inexplicable in any other way, at least in their minds. I admit that I have not experienced any of that by myself, but they only have a gravity about them and I do not feel that they are telling me a story ".
Through "Wild Things," she had to report on a piece of Bigfoot evidence often unreported, some unexplained large nests in the Washington woods. In the Olympic Peninsula, she was taken to these nests that she describes as between eight and 10 feet wide, woven in a similar way to bird nests. She says no one knows very well how they got there, but fails to confirm them as evidence of Bigfoot.
"While it's not evidence that it's Bigfoot, it's certainly evidence that there are natural behaviors we do not know about," he said. "That's the other side of this that I find interesting." While people look for creatures such as Bigfoot, Loch Ness or Yeti, they are making discoveries about the natural world. "
