Apple sends invitations for October 30 iPad, Mac event

(REUTERS / Dado Ruvic)Apple today sent out invitations for an October 30 event that will likely include the launch of new iPad and Mac.
"There is more in preparation," says the invitation.
Things start at 10 am ET at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.
For those looking to read the images in the invitation, it seems that Apple is changing things and sending different images to different media. PCMag got the orange Apple logo you see above; Take a look at some of the other designs by doing the rounds below.

What does Apple have in store? Rumors tip new iPads that will add Face ID and get rid of the Start button, like the iPhone XS and XR. But unlike those new devices, updated iPads will be added USB-C and a Mac-type magnetic connector.
As for the Macs, we wrote a Wish list for MacBook 2018 back in May; We'll have to see if Cupertino meets any of those boxes later this month.
