IDs were used to slip customer funds and requested Apple Inc. to address the problem.

Alipay, the giant e-commerce payment subsidiary.

In recent days, an online notice warning users of the iPhone was posted saying that, as a result, some customers had lost money.

Alipay said he has asked Apple "several times" to identify how the thefts occurred, and that the company based in Cupertino, California, responded that it is investigating the matter.

An Apple ID refers to the account used to access Apple services, such as your App Store and iCloud. It includes information such as the email address, password and payment details of the user, according to the Apple website.

According to China's national state radio, some Chinese iPhone users complained in the last few days of receiving mobile notifications of unauthorized App Store expenses. The complaints in the social networks claim losses that amount in some cases to hundreds of US dollars, with notifications of text messages in odd hours.

Alipay's ad did not say how many people had been affected, but said it did include iPhone users connecting their accounts to other payment systems, including its main rival.

I pay with credit cards. A spokeswoman for WeChat Pay, owned by Tencent Holdings Ltd., said it did not issue a notice to users, but a statement from the company to the media echoed Alipay.

Both Alipay and WeChat Pay hold billions of dollars of customer funds on deposit to facilitate mobile and online transactions.

An Apple spokeswoman pointed to the instructions on its website to protect Apple's identifications against fraud, such as two-factor authentication, a configuration that requires users to log in to verify their identity with a second code as well as a password.

Alipay's online ad warned customers that they are "exposed to financial loss risks" until Apple solves the problem and said they could minimize losses by reducing the amount that can be transferred without entering a password. It also included Apple's customer service number in China.

The scandal has emerged for a week when Apple CEO Tim Cook is in China meeting with employees, government officials and others.

Alipay, owned by Fintech financial giant Ant Financial Services Group, is China's largest mobile payment system by transaction volume, slightly above WeChat Pay. Alipay had 700 million users as of August; WeChat Pay, more than 800 million users as of June.

They handled nearly $ 15 billion in mobile transactions in China last year, according to data firms iResearch and Analysys. Both systems are widely used for daily services such as bus and taxi trips, meals and online purchases, utility bills and even investing in mutual funds.

Some consumers in China prefer Apple's devices, including the iPhone, and services over those of their Chinese rivals that run Android because they believe the company's privacy protections are stricter.
