WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The US Department of State UU He confirmed on Tuesday that a US citizen had been killed in Cameroon and said he was offering all appropriate consular assistance to the family, but did not provide further details about the person. 

AFP, citing a religious official of a local archdiocese, reported that an American missionary was killed on Tuesday when his vehicle was shot with bullets in the municipality of Bambui, in the English-speaking region of northwest Cameroon. AFP did not identify the missionary.
