Clinging to brain cancer, a 7-year-old boy from California, however, managed to fulfill his dream of following in the footsteps of his father, a sergeant in the Torrance Police Department.
The boy, Drake Walker, was sworn in as an honorary police officer during a City Council meeting on Tuesday night while his family and friends watched: CBSLA informed
Walker received his diagnosis in August, upon learning that he had an aggressive and inoperable tumor in his brain stem; a GoFundMe campaign has been established for the Walker family.
According to the campaign: "We hope to bless you in this way (monetary) to alleviate even a little of the burden you might face along your trip and fun memories that will last forever." All funds raised go directly to the family to help them in any way during this difficult time. "
