4 sisters killed in a deadly limousine accident to rest
Four sisters and their four relatives who were among the 20 people who died in a limousine accident in the north of the state New York Last week they will rest every Saturday.
The group was heading to a birthday party with other friends on October 6 when their limousine stretched a stop sign and crashed into an SUV parked and unoccupied in Schoharie, New York, about 43 miles west of Albany. The 18 occupants of the limousine, including the driver, were killed, as well as two pedestrians who were nearby, authorities said.
State and federal authorities are investigating the accident, which is the deadliest transport accident in the United States since August 2009, according to Robert Sumwalt, president of the National Transportation Safety Board.

On Saturday afternoon a combined funeral service will be held at the St. Stanislaus church in Amsterdam for eight of the victims inside the limousine: Allison King, 31, of Ballston Spa, New York; Sister Abigail Jackson, 34, and her husband, Adam Jackson, 34, of Amsterdam, New York; his sister Mary Dyson, 33, and her husband, Robert Dyson, 34, of Watertown, New York; her sister Amy Steenburg, 29, and her husband Axel Steenburg, 29, of Amsterdam, New York, as well as her brother, Richard Steenburg, 34, of Johnstown, New York.
"They were special girls," said Valerie Abeling, aunt of the four sisters. The affiliate of ABC in Albany, WTEN-TV. "I loved them very much, my brother said he lost most of his family."
The group celebrated Amy Steenburg's 30th birthday, family members told ABC News. She had just married her husband in June.
The limousine involved in the accident failed a safety inspection on September 4, in part due to the malfunctioning indicators of the anti-lock braking system (ABS) of the hydraulic braking system, according to the records reviewed by ABC News.

However, the New York State Department of Transportation challenged that claim.
"The claim that the limousine was authorized to be on the road after the September inspection is categorically false," Joseph Morrissey, spokesman for the New York State Department of Transportation, said in a statement. "The vehicle was subject to inspections and the owner was warned not to operate the vehicle, the vehicle was taken out of service."
The driver, Scott Lisincchia, 53, of Lake George, New York, did not have the proper driver's license to drive a vehicle that can hold more than 15 people, a law enforcement official told ABC News.
Lisincchia had previously told her wife about problems with the vehicle, according to Richard Burke, the family spokesman. Burke said Lisincchia's wife "told me that she had complained to her about the condition of some of the vehicles."

The operator of the limousine company, Nauman Hussain, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with murder for criminal negligence, police said. He was charged because he put a defective vehicle back on the road and hired a driver who knew he did not have the proper license to drive the vehicle, a source familiar with the matter told ABC News.
Hussain pleaded not guilty and was released on bail Wednesday night.
