While guiding his vehicle under the Santa Monica highway bridge, he would notice a strange light in the sky. It appeared to be a large, solid object, about 500 feet above the ground, near the Von's Market parking lot.
At first, Taff believed that the object was a conventional low-flying aircraft. Then, after discarding that it was a plane or a police helicopter, he would consider it as an airship that could have escaped its bonds. However, the more I looked at this strange object, the more I realized that I was seeing something a little more out of the ordinary. I would make the decision to pull the car to the side of the road and turn off the engine. Then, he left the vehicle, while concentrating on this strange ship in the night sky.
I would remember that there was absolutely no noise of the object. In addition, it was composed of a "flattened elongated cigar, without tail section or wings of any kind". I could not understand how the great ship even maintained its height. He also noticed "running lights" that alternated between blue and green along the upper and lower edge of the ship. In the middle of these alternate and current lights, there was what appeared to be a row of windows or "rectangular openings," each one at the same distance from the other. Behind these "windows" there was an "extremely bright white light".
An object that should not'T have remained in the air
While continuing to study the object on him, he could see that the surface appeared to be a solid "charcoal gray" material. It was also obvious that this strange ship was moving, albeit very slowly. If any other resident of Los Angeles were witness to the strange boat while making its way through the city, then their memories would be saved. Similar sightings immediately before and after

A married couple at a nearby airport would report the sighting.
Although it happened almost two years ago, a similar sighting in California in the summer of 1979 is certainly worth seeing here.
The sighting of the Santa Clarita Valley
Right after 10 pm in the 13th July 1979 in the Santa Clarita Valley, California., a married couple would witness a strange disc-shaped flying craft flying over the house of a young couple. The anonymous and anonymous family was preparing to settle for the night, when the night would take a dramatic turn. The husband of the house (Mr. Towers) was cleaning the pool area for the next day, so that the children could enter the pool directly upon waking. The pair would later estimate that the object was around 75 to 100 feet above them. They could clearly see a "dome" in the upper section of the ship, as well as the portholes and lights that were apparently blinking in sequence. The object was definitely solid, with a metallic and shiny finish. Interestingly, and something that appears repeatedly in the UFO reports, the ship looked as if it were made of a piece of molded metal, with no apparent seams or seams visible anywhere. At the bottom, it would appear "concave toward the center" where two "rectangular shapes" could be seen.

"Humanity does not have such technology!"
As the couple continued to see this incredible incident, the ship was leaning slightly forward. When it happened, the couple would witness something similar to a cabin behind a longer window. They could see a combination of an orange and blue glow from the inside. None, however, could see any activity or movement behind the glass. It would remain in this "angle of advance" for about ten seconds. Each of the witnesses would later declare the sensation of being observed by the intelligence behind this mysterious vehicle.
In total, the shiny disc remained on the property of the couple for about forty seconds. Then, it would calmly move away at a rate no greater than forty miles per hour. They continued to watch him until he disappeared from his sight about seven miles away. Each of them drew drawings of what they remembered, separately to be able to compare them. Apart from the little details here and there, they were generally an exact match.
Like Taff, the main witness had a background in propulsion systems, later in several high-ranking positions. His understanding, then, of aeronautics, like Taff's, was much better than most. The Hallstrom incident
Eighteen months before the Santa Clarita sighting, another incident occurred. The similarities of which may again suggest a connection with the two cases mentioned above. On New Year's Day in 1978, around 12:35 pm, experienced military air veteran Floyd Hallstrom piloted his Cessna 170A over Santa Monica, California. He was following his friend and fellow pilot, Jim Victor. They were on their way from Oxnard to San Diego, with a stop in Los Angeles to refuel. Victor was delivering a plane to Brown Field in San Diego, after which Hallstrom would transport them both home.
As he moved through Santa Monica to a height of around 7,500 feet with the view of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) in the distance, he noticed something strange "right on the edge of the horizon." At first, he thought he was his friend. Then, however, the object began to grow larger. And he did it at an alarming rate.
As he got closer, he could not see wings at all. It seemed to be disk-shaped, made of metallic silver that gleamed in the bright sunlight of California. However, he could distinguish clear windows on the ship, similar to normal passenger windows on a standard plane. Whatever the strange ship was, it continued in his direction with great speed. It would happen to him and he would go south of his position and to his left. It was then that Hallstrom was able to look down on the ship and get a bird's eye view. And what he saw was an object that was not "conventional" in any sense of the imagination.
A "In the form of a saucer"Object traveling 650 miles per hour
It was definitely a "round or saucer shaped object" with "a dome" on top and with windows around it. From above, the metal surface seemed to shine even brighter. He would describe the surface as "more of a highly polished nickel or chrome, or stainless steel." This, he would offer, would explain the "soft glow" that would resonate from its surface.
Later he would estimate that there were about twenty windows around the part of the nave's dome. A uniform gap would separate them. Apparently without interest in Hallstrom or his small passenger plane, the strange ship would continue in the opposite direction. He would stay in his sight for about a minute before disappearing. This would lead Hallstrom to estimate that it traveled at about 650 miles per hour.
He would inform Victor and then the Federal Aviation Authority about the sighting. And that, he believed, would be the end. However, in the days and weeks after the incident, Hallstrom would suffer several strange dreams. This would involve strange silver discs, but it would also have alien entities even stranger. Dreams would eventually be established as he investigated UFO phenomena. A subject in which he had previously had little or no interest. However, in the years that followed the air meeting, Hallstrom would claim that he had "altered his whole life".
