If you are near the Vandenberg Air Force Base in California on Sunday night (October 7), you may hear a strange roar and see some strange lights in the sky. But the Air Force would like you to know that there is no need to worry; something completely normal is happening: a rocket that made its way into space will fall back to Earth, correcting its trajectory with "multiple motor burns" and then (if all goes well) recovering comfortably on its landing struts in the vicinity from its launch site.

The Air Force launched the warning Because, while Floridians have had enough time To be comfortable with the SpaceX landings show, this will be the first attempt to land a Falcon 9 rocket on the west coast. However, it will not be Vandenberg's first release:

The rocket is scheduled to be launched at 7:21 p.m. local time, bring the SAOCOM 1A Satellite to space, and return to Earth soon after.

According to a facebook submit by the 30th Air Force Space Wing in Vandenberg, "local residents" can expect to see something of the rocket itself when it returns to the base, while people in Santa Barbara, Ventura and San Luis Obispo counties can hear a sound similar to that of a thunder Auges, depending on the weather.
